Chase Foundation was founded in 1992 by Robin and Susan Richards after their son, Chase Richards, passed away at a very young age from cancer. The organization supports the Child Life programs at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.

Child Life Specialists collaborate with parents and other healthcare professionals to meet the distinct needs of children in managing the effects of stress and trauma. Because children may feel overwhelmed during the course of their treatment, Child Life professionals help children gain a sense of familiarity and control of their environment through play and exploration inside the healthcare facility.

Understanding that a child’s wellbeing depends on the support of the family, they also provide information, support, and guidance to parents, siblings, and other family members.

Because of your support, Chase Foundation is able to make a tremendous impact in the greater Los Angeles area. We are able to provide families with critical Child Life services through Chase Child Life programs at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.
